Welcome to the School of Education & Human Services “Our approach to education results in graduates who are prepared to teach.”

We believe strongly in professional, hands-on experience. That’s why our graduates are honored for their achievements, have high placement levels in the schools of their choice, and become leaders in their schools.

Experience

You’ll spend part of your class time interacting with K-12 students in structured activities directly tied to the course curriculum and gaining experience in a full range of teaching duties.

Exposure

You’ll have access to the Quincy University Reading Center, a well-equipped laboratory that blends theory and practice for potential teachers, and the Instructional Materials Center, a special library of materials for immediate support to teacher candidates.

Faculty

Your professors are experienced educators who will supervise your fieldwork and teach your courses. Like our faculty, our graduates are often school leaders with knowledge, experience and skills in literacy and leadership.

Head of the Class

I can never express how grateful I am for my professors' time, knowledge, and mentorship throughout my four years at Quincy.
Elizabeth Farnell '07, Military Psychologist
Fun Fact: In 2014, more than 500 students volunteered a total of 4,000 service hours across seven states.
